Take me out

This past spring, Henry played baseball for the neighborhood Rec Center team. He was a quick study and went from needing a tee to consistently hitting the ball and catching the ball in the outfield.

Probably the best part of the team was the coach. He made the team fun for everyone and emphasized cooperation and enjoyment. The league was set up well too: for this age group, each kid gets to hit as many times as needed and each kid hits for each of the 3 innings. You can get a kid out, but it's all in good fun.

As with most of our events, this one involved the whole family. The whole gang went to most of the practices and games and Jessica helped out as bat girl (not the character, but the actual job of handing the teammates bats).

We made some good friends and we're fortunate that we get to see them regularly this summer at our community pool.
