One of our new passions this winter was ice skating. I owe a huge thanks to our neighbor, who suggested the idea one cold February day. I had been as a kid about 3 times, but had never taken our family.
Tentative at first, Jess, Hem, & I took to the ice right away. Kel tried, but decided this wasn't his sport. So I played with the kids on ice and Kel took lots of pictures.
We went several times after that during the week and had lots of fun. We all learned to skate backwards a bit, skate in circles, etc. But, we loved getting out and moving around in the dead of winter. This will definitely be something we'll do next year too.
