Happy Birthday!

Our kids are born 10 days apart. Some years, they have parties together, but this year, they wanted to celebrate their birthdays separately with 2 small parties.

Jess invited some friends to see a show at the Pumpkin Theatre followed by cake, ice cream and games at the house. Kelric led the games including a kids vs. parents tug of war. The kids won, but just by a little.

Jess wanted to make and decorate two cakes: vanilla and chocolate. She did most of it herself including making her own icing. Henry wanted to help too. The cakes were delicious.

Henry wanted a Chuck E. Cheese or park party. We invited just a few people and literally decided his party venue that morning. Chuck E. Cheese won out because of the weather. Henry and his friends enjoyed games, pizza, and prizes and then Henry enjoyed playing some of the games he got on his birthday. We got so many tickets at Chuck E. Cheese that most of the kids opted to get cotton candy.

I love that we were able to honor our kids birthday requests in unique ways for both of them.
